On 16 March I talked with journalist Pico Iyer about his book The Open Road:The Global Journey of the Fourteenth Dalai Lama, which has just come out in paperback from Vintage Books. Before the interview I briefly mentioned Iyer's earlier book The Global Soul (Knopf/Vintage).
I then talked with Nevada City marriage counselor and poet Belden Johnson about his new novel Fathers and Teachers (Booksurge). We also discussed his 1976 book of poems Snake Blossoms: Fabulations by Belden (Berkeley Poets' Workshop and Press).
