On 1 September I talked with biographer Brenda Wineapple, who teaches writing at Columbia University and The New School, about White Heat: The Friendship of Emily Dickinson and Thomas Wentworth Higginson, which has just been published by Knopf. There are many collections of Emily Dickinson's writings. If you'd like to get to know more about Higginson, Howard N Meyer's The Magnificent Activist: The Writings of Thomas Wentworth Higginson, 1823-1911 (Da Capo) is an excellent anthology.
I then played an interview I had recorded over the weekend with Nevada Union High School English teacher Diane Dean-Epps about her new humorous mystery KILL-TV (Hope Springs Eternal Press).
