On Friday 19 September I recorded an interview with financial journalist and consultant Daniel Altman, author of Connected: 24 Hours in the Global Economy, which has just been reissued in paperback by Picador. The book covers many topics in global economics as they were reflected in events taking place on 15 June 2005. In addition to the topics directly covered in the book, we also discussed the current Wall Street meltdown from a global perspective.
This interview was supposed to be the first half of a program dedicated to the economic and technological changes which are overwhelming our planet. The second half was supposed to be a recording of an interview with David A Vise, author with Mark Malseed of The Google Story, which has been reissued in paperback by Delta Books in time for Google's tenth anniversary. The interview unfortunately fell through when I was out of town and unable to replace it.
The 29 September Booktown has therefore been canceled.
