On 9 June I talked with two Nevada County historians about their most recent books. I first talked with Hank Meals about The River: Hiking Trails and History of the South Fork of the Yuba River. He will present the book at the Book Seller in Grass Valley next Saturday 14 June at 1 PM. I then talked with Orval Bronson about Launched into Eternity: Lynchings and Judicial Executions in 19th Century Nevada County. At the end of the program, the three of us discussed various approaches to local history.
