On 19 March I talked with two Indiana natives recently published by the University of California Press: first with well-known poet, editor, translator and Professor Emeritus of English at Eastern Michigan University Clayton Eshleman about his bilingual edition of The Complete Poetry of Cesar Vallejo, the result of nearly five decades of work; then with anthropologist Liza Dalby, author of Geisha, Kimono and The Tale of Murasaki, about East Wind Melts the Ice: A Memoir Through the Seasons (we both felt it would better have been called Dormant Creatures Start to Twitch: A Pacific Rim Almanac).
